A Message from Dean McNeill regarding COVID-19

Hello SJO community,

I am writing to share an update on how we’re handling our upcoming Stevie Wonder tribute concert on May 23 in light of the COVID-19 situation.

Due to an abundance of caution we will be cancelling this May 23, 2020 concert. If you have already purchased a ticket to this concert, you can get in touch with the Broadway theatre for a full refund.

Our primary concern is keeping our musicians and audience safe. Practicing social distancing, avoiding crowds, and staying home will help ‘flatten the curve’ and slow down the spread of the novel coronavirus.

While we’re disappointed to be cancelling our last concert of the 2019-2020 season, you should know that we are hard at work planning our 2020-2021 season and we hope to share more exciting information with you soon about what we have in store for next fall and beyond! We will of course be monitoring the coronavirus situation and will continue to follow the recommendation of experts and health care professionals come the fall.

Thank you for continuing to support the SJO and all artists and musicians in our community. Your support is needed now more than ever to help navigate this challenging situation.

Sincerely,

Dean McNeill
